The Shaman Lights a Candle

The continuing millennial conjunction of Pluto and Chiron brings to our immediate attention a potent transformation in progress. On March 27th ChironÕs movement ahead through the zodiac temporarily stopped. Chiron says, let_s stop right here, right on the threshold of a shift in consciousness. ItÕs an initiation point, a place that needs resolution and healing in order to open us to a more expanded reality. Chiron in its shamanic way manifests meaningful metaphors, clues to the meaning of the change for you. What was going on in your life that weekend, and on Monday?

Sagittarius is the sign of the Truth Seeker and the Truth Speaker. Though it is a sign that tends to look ahead, Chiron chants: Experience the Truth of this moment. This moment is All there is. This moment is the doorway to the future. If you live this moment fully and increase the level of consciousness of this moment, the future will unfold with more fullness, with more light.

Light is the essence of the universe. Everything is made of light. "Let there be light!" proclaims the God of the Bible and the creation begins. Modern physics agrees, defining light as pure action beyond space-time. A photon, the ultimate unit of light, is a tiny quantum of action that can polarize into the electron/proton pairs that make up the atomic world and then the physical world. Pluto and Chiron are stirring up a quantum shift in this fire sign of Sagittarius, to reveal more of the truth. Our ego-based belief systems, perhaps even our sense of who we are, are on the pyre. On Monday, Chiron lit the flame.

Chiron evokes wholeness, holiness. The shaman of the solar system is the healer, calling for a new vision of potentials, opening and clearing the way for Pluto, the Shiva/Shakti planet of destruction and renewal, sweeping away the old and rekindling the light of truth. Truth is Beauty, and Beauty Truth, says the poet Keats. Where that point (17 degrees Sagittarius) lands in your chart is where you are feeling the heat, where your hand is over the candle. This flame is enlightening the subtle chakras in the palms of your hands. Touch the place that needs healing.
